Jeffrey Ian Ross will discuss issues involving cyberstalking, phishing, hacking, and the use of the internet for pornography, prostitution, and the sale of illegal, counterfeit or substandard goods.
This event was organized by Byte Back, a nonprofit organization providing computer and job training to low-income adults and at-risk youth.
Jeffrey Ian Ross, PhD, is a professor of criminology at the University of Baltimore. He has researched, written and lectured on national security, political violence, violent crime, corrections and policing for over two decades Ross' work has appeared in many academic journals and books, as well as popular outlets. He has authored and/or edited a total of twelve books and has performed consulting serviced to the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S. Department of Justice, and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
